Dear emerging artists,
Below is the application form for submitting your project to become part of the next edition of the Vue sur la Relève Festival. The deadline to submit your project is October 31st, 2022, at 11:59 P.M. If you are uncertain about your eligibility, please consult the criteria here (Insèrer le lien).
The Vue sur la Relève team will pay particular attention to submissions featuring the work of first nation artists, artists belonging to marginalized communities, artists with disabilities and/or limitations and non-binary artists.
The application form takes 30 to 60 minutes to complete.
Here is a list of the required documents you need to provide along with your application. We strongly advise collecting them before starting the registration process. (Please note that every written file must be a PDF and that the maximum size file you will be able to upload is 300 MB per file.)
→For music artists: provide a link to 5 songs or 20 minutes of content that are representative of the content that you wish to present during the festival. Ideally, please also provide a recording showcasing a sample of the performance.
→For artists in theater, dance, storytelling, circus arts, performance, interdisciplinary pratices or any other performing art (except stand-up comedy): provide a link to a video recording of the entirety of your proposed performance.
→Provide a synopsis (one page or 500 words maximum) that explains your artistic process (motivations, inspirations, themes addressed, explored forms, etc.)
→Provide a technical sheet of your performance including all specifications related to the necessary technical equipment as well as it’s placement on stage.
→For projects including on-stage instruments: provide a detailed list of your instruments (patch list) and a detailed plan of their layout on stage (as an indication for the festival’s Technical Director).
→For projects with a specific lighting design: provide an extensive lighting plan (as an indication for the festival’s Technical Director).
→For projects with a specific scenography or accessories: provide a detailed plan of the elements’ placement on stage and a summary (as an indication for the festival’s Technical Director).
→Optional: Provide a press review with a compilation of reviews or articles about you/your collective.
→Optional: Provide the resumes of all artists taking part in your project.
We won’t be able to review every application at the time it is submitted, so please ensure to submit the appropriate documents to allow us to better evaluate your project and, therefore, to increase your chances of being selected to become part of the next festival program!

Please note that we only accept projects that require a maximum of 3 hours of preparation or projects that can accommodate this time limit.
As the festival presents multiple projects throughout a single event, time and resources will be shared among artists. This includes setup time, stage and dressing rooms time, and lighting. Therefore, we request that you indicate the anticipated time requirements for each of the steps leading to your performance.
